SEA COLOURS

I’ve recently been making some simple watercolour interpretations of the ever changing colours and textures of the sky and sea inspired by the view outside my studio window up on the hill above Watchet. The Bristol Channel here has its own unique palette, its opacity created by an influx of grey and red silty soils washed down by rivers from the fields and cliffs along the coast.

These painting will be showing at SHIFT ..an exhibition and artists collaboration in the new art centre and gallery on the newly opened East Quay in Watchet from 24th July 2021
